Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Ruby) enchants 10 Ruby bolts with the Blood Forfeit effect, turning them into ruby bolts (e). This gives the bolt a chance to sacrifice 10% of your life points in order to remove 20% from your opponent. However, the effect does not work if the player cannot spare the life points. This ability makes it particularly useful against higher-end monsters such as Tz-Tok Jad and the God Wars Dungeon bosses, as 20% of their health is far more than most other monsters. Some monsters such as the Corporeal Beast have the ruby bolt damage capped at lower than 20%. The max hit cap with ruby bolts is 3000 against the enhanced ice titans and ice demons encountered during Ritual of the Mahjarrat. The damage cap with ruby bolts (e) is 1000 against the Corporeal Beast.
Completing the Seers' Village Elite Tasks doubles the chance that the special effect occurs.
