The Bronze spear is a two handed melee weapon and is the weakest type of spear. It is member's only and unlike most weapons its use is not solely in combat; it can also be used in Farming to make a scarecrow. It can be bought from other players or received as a monster drop. It is a common drop by hobgoblins. Players who have started learning Barbarian smithing and have level 5 Smithing and a Hammer may produce a spear at a Barbarian anvil from one bronze bar and one log, receiving 25 smithing experience. It can be poisoned.

Note: This weapon is not ideal for 1 Defence users, as you will gain defence EXP no matter what attacking style.

A Fortress guard near the Black Knights Fortress wields a Bronze Spear, even in free-player worlds.

A Karambwan poisoned bronze spear (kp) can be purchased from Tamayu in Tai Bwo Wannai for 26 coins. A cleaning cloth (193 coins) can be used to remove the poison.

Some Emote Clue Scrolls may need a bronze spear.
