A Black dart is a member's only Ranged throwing weapon. To wield one, the player must have at least 10 Ranged. They can only be obtained by killing Elite Dark Rangers. They can also be obtained by trading with another player. Black darts can be poisoned and can be wielded with a shield or god book for protection. It also seems that even without poison it can poison a character.

Black darts are the only darts that cannot be fletched. Because of the fact that they are only dropped by elite dark rangers, they are very rarely seen.

Black darts are also one of the only two ranged weapons able to harm the Tormented wraith, the other being Black knives. Knives however have +3 more Ranged bonus, and retain the same speed, and cheaper, making them a slightly better option for long trips.
