Primal equipment
Primal equipment (Tier 11) is a members only weapon and armour set found while training the Dungeoneering skill. It is the strongest melee equipment found within Daemonheim, and requires level 99 Attack, Strength and Defence for the weapons and armour respectively. It is also the strongest melee equipment in RuneScape.
This is the only Dungeoneering melee equipment that cannot be smithed, as no matching ore exists. Primal equipment can only be obtained by receiving it as a drop from the bosses within Daemonheim as the monsters can only drop up to Promethium. It is not recommended to bind the gauntlets and boots because there is only a small difference to the promethium gauntlets/boots and since you can bind 10 items at a time, but you can use 5 bind items at a time (and since the set altogether is hard to obtain), the weapons and more benefiting armour (platebody, platelegs) are better off than with the gauntlets and boots. When performing the dungeoneering cape's emote you are seen to be wearing full primal armour (with the exception of a primal kiteshield) and wielding a primal longsword.
The easist way to get a primal item from a Dungeoneering boss is to do a dungeon with a complexity of c6, while having 5:5 party complexity.
Dungeoneering Equipment Glitch
There was a glitch when dungeoneering first came out that made primal and alot of other dungeoneering armors the ability to come out of daemonheim and be used in pvm and pvp.

Trivia
- Tier 11 items are only dropped by bosses, and each boss only drops certain kind of equipment. Even the strongest forgotten warriors, rangers and mages only drop Tier 10 items.
- By adding the primal platebody, primal platelegs, primal kiteshield, primal full helm, primal gauntlets, primal boots, and the primal longsword, a player would theoretically have the best melee and range defence bonuses which are: stab defence bonus = +606, slash defence bonus = +641, crush defence bonus =+407, magic defence bonus = -14, and range defence bonus = +638. However, attaining this equipment is not possible in reality because only five items can be bound at a time if the player has level 120 Dungeoneering. Since only one primal item can be attained per floor (at most) from the boss drop, a player may have a maximum of five primal items.
- The name 'Primal' could be derived from the Latin word 'primus' meaning 'first'.
- A warrior with Primal armour and two Primal battleaxes can be seen on the RuneFest 2011 banner.
