Manta rays are a members-only fish that require a Cooking level of 91 to cook. When consumed, manta rays restore 220 life points. These maintain a significant burn rate even when cooked by players with level 99 Cooking and cooking gauntlets. With 99 cooking and using cooking gauntlets, a player will still burn approximately 23% of the manta rays cooked.
The price of manta rays went up dramatically after the Activity Bar was introduced to the Fishing Trawler on 16 June 2009.
Manta rays heal 220 life points in one serving and are considered to be among the best foods in RuneScape, but are inferior compared to rocktail, which was released on the 17 September 2009 with the Living Rock Caverns update, and tiger shark , obtainable at the Fishing Trawler at a fishing level of 95. However, tiger sharks are untradeable. They weigh less than a tuna potato (0.5 kg) which also heals 220 life points in one serving.
The Ardougne Tasks require a manta ray to be fished on the trawler as part of the Elite tasks.
