Icefiends may be encountered while training Dungeoneering. Unlike normal Icefiends, these attack with both magic and ranged, making them challenging foes if they are high-levelled. Their magic attack resembles a water blast. Formally despite the update on 24 June 2010, their animations remain unchanged. Thus if a player wants to see the old animation of water blast, they would have to encounter the Icefiend in Daemonheim. However this was changed in a hidden update. These count towards an icefiend slayer task.
