Fractite ore is a Tier 5 ore that can only be obtained while Dungeoneering. It can either be bought from the Smuggler for 12,200 coins, received as a monster drop or mined from a Fractite rock, requiring level 40 Mining. This is the highest tier of ore available to free players.
Mining fractite ore grants 71 Mining experience for each ore. A player may receive between 1 and 5 ores from each Fractite rock, or a maximum of 10 with a gatherer ring, after which it is depleted and no further ore can be mined. The chances of ores being crushed during mining depends on the tier of pickaxe used, as well as Mining level.

Smithing
Players can smelt fractite ore into a fractite bar through the Smithing skill by using it on a furnace, granting 32.2 Smithing experience; this requires level 40 Smithing. Fractite bars can then be used on anvils with a hammer to create Fractite equipment. Players can buy the ore from the Smuggler to avoid mining it, but are still required to have at least 40 smithing to make any equipment out of Fractite.
Summoning
Fractite ore is the secondary ingredient used in infusing Brave bloodrager pouches, together with a Green charm. This grants 99.5 Summoning experience.
Notes
The fractite rock has the potential to give the most mining experience available from a single rock on free play, at 355 experience (if it yields all 5 ores). However, mining fractite is not recommended as a method for power-training the Mining skill, as they are only located sparsely throughout the Daemonheim dungeons, and there is no guarantee that a single dungeon will contain even one fractite rock. Furthermore, it is uncommon to actually receive all 5 ores from a rock without crushing any, even at a very high Mining level.
