A player casting crumble undead.

Crumble Undead requires a Magic level of 39 and can hit a maximum of 150 life points (under the right circumstances though, it can hit up to 250 life points). It can only hit undead monsters, including:

• Banshees
• Shades
• Zombies
• Skeletons
• Ghosts
• Crawling Hands, Skeletal hands, Zombie hands
• Revenants
• Zogres, Skogres
• Ankous

It does not work on the Barrows brothers, certain high-levelled Revenants, mummies, Count Draynor (or other Vampyres), Dragith Nurn, or Nazastarool.

In free-to-play, it is a more cost-effective way of battling undead, as it hits as high as Earth Blast but costs less than Earth Bolt.

It was once able to be autocast only by using a Slayer staff or a Void Knight mace, but as of an update it no longer requires a staff to be autocasted.

Note: Crumble Undead is not affected by Chaos gauntlets.

Trivia

• It is an inexpensive method for players who want to spend minimal money to train magic. (An alternative is the fire bolt with a only a slight reduction in terms of base experience and max hit per cast.)
• Attempting to cast Crumble Undead on anything that is not undead will give you the message "This spell only affects skeletons, zombies, ghosts and shades".
• In RuneScape Classic, Crumble Undead gives 98 experience per shot.
• Despite Banshees being undead, Crumble Undead cannot be used against the Banshee Champion underneath the Champion's Guild. As previously stated, it brings up the message, "This spell only affects skeletons, zombies, ghosts and shades".
• Crumble Undead is not available in Daemonheim.
• The spell looks as if it would be an attack that hits multiple monsters but does not.
• The Mindspike's special attack currently does not work when casting Crumble Undead.
