Body esshound are a type of esshound found on the middle and upper floors of the Runespan. They can be siphoned for body runes, requiring one rune essence and giving one body rune and 23.13 Runecrafting experience for a successful siphon; an unsuccessful siphon will give no runes, consume no essence, and give 0-2 experience. They require level 20 Runecrafting to siphon. You can absorb 5 body runes before the esshound dies, leaving 50 rune essence. However, if the player stopped siphoning before the esshound was drained, they will not receive any essence. They respawn every 5 seconds.

Chipping

Body esshounds can also be "chipped" for rune essence. By using 10 mind runes on the esshound, you will receive 10-20 rune essence. However, the same esshound cannot be chipped twice in a row; you can't chip the same creature until you have chipped three other Runespan creatures of any type.

Lower level

Body esshounds cannot be found on the lower floor.

Middle level

Body esshounds can be found on platforms 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 11, 15, 21, 26, 38, and 44 of the middle floor.

Upper level

Body esshounds can be found on platforms 1, 3, 6, 12, 13, 18, 20, and 33 of the upper floor.
