TokTz-xil-ul (or Obsidian throwing rings) are a Ranged weapon used by the TzHaar, most notably the TzHaar-Xil. They cost around 375 Tokkul per throwing ring, and require level 60 Ranged to use. They are sometimes used for training due to their speed between attacks (similar to shortbows) and their bonuses, which is comparable to that of rune arrows. They also give +69 Range bonus, along with a +49 ranged strength bonus.

It is also interesting to note that these throwing rings are the exact equivalent of the Magic shortbow with Rune arrows, except that they are one-handed and have no special attack. Like any ranged ammunition, these have a chance to break, despite being composed completely of stone.

Trivia

  • The Toktz-xil-ul is based on the Chakram, an Indian sharp-edged, metallic, throwing weapon in a circular, CD-like shape, much like that of the Toktz-xil-ul, but more silver in coloration, along with it being thicker overall and sometimes larger, based on the specific type. These were used by Sikh, Rajput, and Maratha warriors of India.
  • Before the updates to the Grand Exchange and the trade limit, players would buy these for as much as 3k each.
  • Though the direct translation would be Obsidian-Sharp/Hunter-Ring, the correct translation would most likely be Sharp-Obsidian-Hunting-Ring, as this weapon is used by the Tzhaar-Xil, the hunters of the Tzhaar Race.
