Retreat

Retreat, or retreating, is a tactic that some monsters implement when their life points falls below a certain level where they try to run away. This behaviour makes safe spotting less than ideal for these monsters.
Most monsters will retreat if you walk out of their roaming area and attack them with a long-ranged weapon, they might retreat even though they normally wouldn't.

Dungeoneering
It seems that many monsters in Daemonheim that only use melee encountered while Dungeoneering often retreats when the player attempt to safe spot them, even if the player is not outside their wander radius.
The Giant Mole
- The Giant Mole's moment of retreat is totally random; it could dig under (its form of retreat) when it is hit once or it could be killed without it retreating at all. This makes it much trickier to kill because players constantly have to search for it in its lair.
