A Raw rainbow fish is an item that players obtain by the Fishing skill at level 38. They need a fly fishing rod and stripy feathers (obtained via the Hunter skill) to catch them, and each one caught grants 80 Fishing experience.
Any fly-fishing spot can be used to catch a raw rainbow fish, for example the one north-east of Gunnarsgrunn.
A raw rainbow fish has two main uses. Firstly, players can cook it on a range or a fire to make a cooked rainbow fish, a food item. Doing so requires level 35 Cooking, and grants 110 experience. With a cooking level of 62 or higher it is impossible to burn the fish.
Secondly, a raw rainbow fish is used in the Hunter skill as bait for a barb-tailed kebbit in the Feldip Hunter area. This requires level 33 Hunter, and grants 168 experience.
