The Mithril dagger is a dagger stronger than the black dagger. Like all Mithril weapons, it requires 20 Attack to wield. Players can make a mithril dagger with the Smithing skill at level 50 using one mithril bar, giving the player 50 Smithing experience. Members can poison this weapon, giving them an advantage in combat.

Players can purchase this dagger from the Varrock Sword Shop. Being made from Mithril, it is lighter than the daggers made from other standard metals. Like all daggers, other than the dragon dagger, this item is rarely used.

A Mithril dagger is one of the items always received as loot from the Muddy chest. Because the dagger has the lowest value of the non-stacking items received, it is often dropped.

Trivia

• The fact that only a bar of Mithril is used to make the dagger raises the question of what the yellow hilt and handle are made from. This applies to all standard daggers, and basically every other bladed weapon.
