The Guardian's ward is an item dropped by monsters in Daemonheim. It surpasses the stats of the Protector's ward. It seems to only be available on the abandoned, furnished, occult, and warped floors as it is only dropped by Spiritual guardians.
It requires a Defence level of 94 to equip. The only notable feature of this shield is the +44 magic defence bonus it provides, making it a good shield to use against bosses and magic-based monsters such as forgotten mage. Aside from the magic defence bonus, its stab and crush defence are similar to a Gorgonite kiteshield, although it has much lower ranged and slash defence.
When appearance is compared to the Protector's ward, it seems very similar. The only differences are the brighter, more organic colour scheme, elaborate design, and the open eye in the centre, as opposed to what appears to be a "sewn shut" eye in the centre of the Protector's ward.

Trivia
- During the first few weeks of the release there was a typo in the knowledge base saying all of the item's defence stats were offensive, when really the Guardian's Ward gives nothing to attack bonuses.
- This item has the highest magic defence bonus for a shield in the entire game.
- This is said to be the dungeoneering equivalent of a Spectral Spirit Shield, notably due to its high magic and crush defence.
