A grimy avantoe is a herb that has not yet been cleaned to make a clean avantoe. Grimy avantoes may be grown from an avantoe seed with a Farming level of 50. It is also dropped by certain NPCs. Cleaning a grimy avantoe requires a Herblore level of 48 and gives 10 Herblore experience. Clean avantoes are used to make fishing potions, super energy potions and hunting potions with Herblore levels 50, 52 and 53 respectively. Grimy avantoes may also be obtained from the Sorceress's Garden minigame. This herb may also be added to a super attack potion to make an extreme attack potion.
