An Enclave guard guards the Ogre Enclave dungeon in the heart of the Gu'tanoth. The first time the player gets past one, they must use a nightshade on the Enclave Guard to poison them and you run past while he is hurt. When you use the nightshade on them they will make a short dialogue and you can be able to get through. An anti-fire shield is needed or the dragons in the enclave will kill you. You must use the nightshade method to get past the guard in the Watchtower quest. After the quest a nightshade does not have to be used to enter the cave, but the following message will appear: A nearby guard looks at you suspiciously... You run past while they are thinking. Like all ogres, it always drops big bones.

If you happen to have a slayer task assigned to ogres, be aware that Enclave Guards give 80 slayer experience per kill, whereas normal Ogres give 60 experience per kill, however, Enclave Guards are generally more dangerous (their attack speed is equal to the attack speed of a dagger or scimitar and their max hit is 100), and you might find yourself out of food very fast if you do not bring good armour or have a defence of at least 70.
