An auspicious katana is a weapon that can only be obtained from the Squeal of Fortune. Its stats are identical to godswords' stats (with the exception of weight, 3.6kg when compared to godswords' weight of 10kg), and like godswords, it requires 75 Attack to wield.
This katana, the ornate katana, golden katana, Eastern outfit, quick-fire crossbow, and female and male Changshan outfits are currently the only known items to have come from the Eastern Lands.
It has been confirmed on the official RuneScape website that the auspicious katana has no special attack.

- Auspicious is a synonym for lucky, indirectly making this weapon part of the "lucky" set.
- The katana is one of only three katana in the game, the other two being an ornate katana and golden katana.
