Kratonium ore is a Tier 4 ore that can only be obtained while Dungeoneering. It can either be bought from the Smuggler, received as a monster drop or mined from a Kratonium rock, requiring level 30 Mining.
Mining kratonium grants 56.5 Mining experience for each ore. A player may receive between 1 and 5 ores from each kratonium rock, or a maximum of 10 with a gatherer ring, after which it is depleted and no further ore can be mined.

Smithing
Players can smelt kratonium ore into a kratonite bar through the Smithing skill by using it on a furnace, granting 25.9 Smithing experience; this requires 30 Smithing. Kratonite bars can then be used on anvils with a hammer to create Kratonite equipment.
Summoning
Kratonium ore is the secondary ingredient used in infusing Keen bloodrager pouches, together with a Green charm. This grants 68.5 Summoning experience.
Special Notes
This is the only ore available in Daemonheim which is forged into equipment with a different name to the ore itself, as the ore is called Kratonium ore and the equipment is called Kratonite equipment.
