Vesta's chainbody is a members-only chainbody. Upon release, it, along with Vesta's plateskirt surpassed the Bandos chestplate and the Bandos tassets in the maximum Strength bonus. However, Bandos armour does not degrade, making them far more popular. Despite this, the chainbody is much cheaper to purchase, with additional bonuses to attack unlike the Bandos chestplate, which has moderate defense but not as high as the chainbody.
This chest piece is obtained by killing Revenants in the Forinthry Dungeon and the Chaos Elemental.
It requires a Defence level of 78 to wear and lasts for 1 hour of combat. Wearing it will not degrade unless you are in combat. The corrupt version, however, requires 20 Defence and lasts for 15 minutes of use. Wearing the corrupt version will make it degrade, even while not in combat. After the time is up, the chainbody will vanish, regardless of which version.
Contrary to popular belief, this item does not degrade while using non-combat magic, or while on a non-members world.
Also, using a dragon battleaxe's or an Excalibur's special attacks will not degrade pvp armour.
