Karambwan paste is made by using poison karambwan with a pestle and mortar. It cannot be used on any weapon, except spears or hastae. Weapons poisoned with Karambwan poison will have a suffix of (kp) and will poison starting at 68 damage, the same as super-strong weapon poison.

There is little advantage to poisoning a spear or hasta with Karambwan poison, as it is effectively the same as super-strong weapon poison. However, it is arguably easier to catch a raw karambwan, which requires 65 Fishing, than it is to make a vial of super-strong weapon poison, which requires 82 Herblore.

Weapons poisoned with Karambwan poison are untradeable. Players who wish to trade Karambwan poisoned weapons must use a cleaning cloth on them to remove the poison.

Trivia

• When used on melee weapons, poison karambwan paste hits a total of 1170 damage before wearing off, assuming nothing is done to alleviate it.
