White berries are used in Herblore to make Defence and Super defence potions. They are used in The Hand in the Sand quest.
Whiteberry seeds can be bought on the Grand Exchange for farming white berries. They take 2 hours and 40 minutes to grow and yield 78 experience points when planted, 437.5 experience points from checking the health, and 29 experience points per berry picked. After harvesting the berries, a player can make a very good profit. Profits can be further boosted by the ability of a giant ent familiar, using the Summoning skill.
Players are able to get them as a reward from Soul Wars by using the "Gamble" option. This will give them white berries in quantities of fourteen. It is not suggested players use this function to get berries, because it is unlikely you will receive many berries at a time.
Filling a compost bin with 15 white berries will yield 15 buckets of supercompost . However, this is not recommended as pineapples are far cheaper and have the same effect.

Trivia
- The price of white berries rose after ClusterFlutterer, most likely because bots were used to pick them up constantly at the Red Dragon Isle to make money. Prices have since fallen back, as bot makers have gotten around this.
- The commonly known spawn area for white berries in the wilderness on Red Dragon Isle, is a swarming area for Bots, hence becomes crowded, and is a popular area for player killers to get easier kills.
