A Unicow is a hybrid of a Cow and a Unicorn. Players can create unicows in Creature Creation, in the basement dungeon of the Tower of Life building once they complete the Tower of Life quest. Killing a Unicow is one of the Easy Ardougne Tasks.
A player can create a unicow by activating the altar (found in the north-west part of the basement) while having a Cowhide and a Unicorn horn in their inventory. The Homunculus in the dungeon then creates the monster, which appears near the altar and will attack the player.
How to Train using Unicows
Players can train very efficiently on unicows. Approximately 40 attack, strength, and defence are needed to do this. Go to the altar for the Unicow, and activate the altar while having a cowhide and unicorn horn in the inventory. Kill the unicow for decent experience; they have low attack and strength. Pick up a unicorn horn to use next inventory. Around 12-13 cowhides are needed to obtain a full inventory of unicorn horns. This is a good method for training and making cash as it is rarely crowded, and people can't steal your kills. Cash making varies, depending on combat and strength levels, as well as what weapon is being used and how much luck a player may have, in addition to beast of burden familiars that can be brought along for more inventory space to hold hides and horns.
Note: Unicows drop both noted and un-noted unicorn horns when you are wearing any of the Ardougne Cloaks. Thus, you can take your cloak off when you need more unnoted horns for the altar and put it on again when your inventory is getting full. This way you can bring an almost full inventory of cowhides on every run.
A relatively fast way to bank is to run back to the fairy ring next to the tower and bank in Zanaris, though an Ardougne teleport (with teletabs to save space) could also be used.
Another moderately fast way of banking is to use the lodestone network to teleport to Ardougne's north bank, then use the Ardougne cloak to return to the tower.
An alternative banking method is to use Explorer's Ring 3 to teleport close to Draynor bank, a ring of kinship to teleport to Daemonheim, a charged TokKul-Zo to any of the "Fight" locations, or a charged Amulet of glory for Edgeville bank, then use the Ardougne cloak to get back to the tower again.
