Examine text | It's a spider. No, a giant sardine. |
A Spidine is a hybrid of a Sardine and a Spider. Players can create spidines in Creature Creation, in the basement dungeon of the Tower of Life building once they complete the Tower of Life quest.
A spidine is created by a player using one set of Red spiders' eggs and a raw sardine on the spidine altar of life in the dungeon and then activating the altar (found in the south-east part of the basement). The Homunculus in the dungeon then creates the monster, which appears near the altar and will attack the player.

Trivia
- Players make spidines in Creature Creation, often for the guaranteed red spiders' eggs drops. These eggs are used in Herblore and can be somewhat expensive to buy in quantity on the Grand Exchange. Red spiders' eggs spawn in places inhabited by Deadly red spiders, but these locations are deep in dungeons and far from banks, so spidine slaying can be a quicker way to get the eggs without losing very much, if any, money.
- See Creature Creation for more tips on spidine creating and quick banking.
- The spidine is interesting in that it drops bones, which cannot be obtained from its original creatures. Deadly red spiders do not drop bones (or other remains) when slain. Sardines cannot be fought and thus have no drops at all (they are Fishing and Cooking creatures instead), but in reality sardines do have bones and with the Spidine being at least in part a giant sardine bones are therefore a reasonable drop.
