Torch
Torches, when lit, can be used as light sources in dungeons, and are required in some quests. They are also used to smoke traps in the Hunter skill to increase the chance of catching something. You need at least a Hunter level of 39 to smoke a trap. When unlit torches are lit with a tinderbox, they become lit torches. Lit torches are also used in the Construction skill, as a lighting option in Dungeons, Dungeon pits, Oubliettes, and Treasure Rooms in a Player-owned house.
Torches can be purchased in cities such as Dorgesh-Kaan, Keldagrim, Shilo Village, Tai Bwo Wannai, and Yanille or at the Grand Exchange (unlit), trading with Ignatius Vulcan and by trading with fellow players.
After fighting Sigmund in Death to the Dorgeshuun, when a player goes through the tunnel to arrive at the goblin mines without a light source, a lit torch will be automatically placed in their inventory.
Lit Torches received a graphical update with the Champions' Challenge update on 9 November 2009.
