Special moves
- For special moves done with some weapons, see Special attacks.
Special moves are part of the Summoning skill. All Summoning familiars have a special moves energy bar that can be activated by using Summoning scrolls. Generally, higher level familiars have more powerful special moves.
The special moves energy bar at the top of the Summoning interface shows how much energy is available for using scrolls to activate the special move, and when full contains 60 points. Each use of a special move drains this energy, and when the energy remaining is below the cost of the special move activation the familiar cannot perform the special move. Special moves can be activated by clicking on the howling wolf head at the top left of the familiar interface; the number below it indicates the amount of scrolls remaining for that type of familiar.
It is similar to the special attacks bar of a weapon, but instead of costing a percentage of the energy bar usage costs are fixed based on the special move used. This cost varies from 3 points for low level moves like Howl and Dreadfowl Strike to 20 for the Wolpertinger's Magic Focus and the Unicorn stallion's Healing Aura. The special moves do not affect the special attack bar.
Like the special attack of a weapon, the special moves energy bar will naturally recharge over time. It does so at a faster rate of 15 points per every 30 seconds versus 10% per every 30 seconds for the special attacks bar.
A Summoning potion restores 15 special move points per dosage as well as restoring Summoning points. It is the only method available that can raise the special moves energy bar besides the natural recharge rate or a player's death, as the level of the special moves energy remains with the player even after a familiar is gone.
Wearing a Spirit cape will reduce the special move point cost by 20%, but only for combat familiars and the Unicorn stallion.
