The Ravenous locust is a Summoning familiar, introduced with the "Summoning 2" update on 31 March 2008. It requires level 70 Summoning. After interacting with the locust you will get a chat option and also the option to use its Remote view ability.

Making the pouch earns 132 experience points. Using the pouch to summon a Ravenous locust grants 1.5 experience points, and costs 4 Summoning points.

A Famine scroll enables the use of the Famine special move for a Ravenous locust. Using the pouch on a Summoning obelisk creates 10 scrolls and gives 1.5 experience.

Famine

Famine is the special move for the Ravenous locust, which allows the locust to "eat" a piece of the opponent's food (Bandages are NOT considered food). It is activated using a Famine scroll and uses 12 special move points. Activating it gives 1.5 experience.

When activated, a swarm appears and surrounds the target.
