The Sacred clay fletching knife is obtained from the Proto tool (costing 20 Stealing Creation points). It is a fletching tool used to cut logs into unstrung bows. A difference from normal knife is that it gives double experience when fletching most items. It does not give a bonus on fletching Comp Ogre bows. The amount of logs you can fletch before the tool runs out of charges will increase as your fletching level increases. It also gives double xp (200 instead of 100) on blisterwood stakes

It has 100% charge before you use it. The charge decreases as experience is given. At 0% charge, it disappears. It can be reverted back to a proto-tool without losing any charge and then changed into any morphic item (this loses no charge). At level 99 you get about 93.5k fletching experience before the knife runs out, regardless of the bow you cut.

The sacred clay fletching knife can fletch more bows as your level gets higher. For example, at level 84, you can fletch 660 maple longbows (u) per knife, whereas at level 85 you can fletch 805 maple longbows (u) per knife. The maximum exp for the knife can therefore be obtained at level 85, producing the same amount of exp until 99. So to make the most of your fletching knives, save them for level 85-99, giving 93.5k exp per knife. (46750 exp bonus per knife). Using purely sacred clay knives from level 85 to 99 would take approx. 105 knives (2100 stealing creation points). Using 1 knife can take under 20 minutes.

Like other Sacred clay tools it does not degrade during bonus xp weekend and acts like a normal knife.
