A Pile of salt is an item that can be made by using a full bucket on the centre piece of the suntrap in Sophanem. It is first acquired during the quest Itchlarin's Little Helper.
Before the advent of the Grand Exchange the item could be sold to The Spice is Right store in Sophanem. Now, however, a message appears saying, "You can't sell this item." as there was an update on 20 November 2007 that made some quest items non-tradeable . This item cannot be used in place of the Bag of salt to kill Rockslugs. nl:Pile of salt
