A Mirror shield is a piece of Slayer equipment used for fighting Cockatrices and Basilisks, requiring 20 defence and 25 slayer to wield. While fighting these monsters, the shield must be equipped, or the player's stats will be drastically reduced.
It can be bought from any Slayer master for 5,000 coins or by trading with another player. You can also buy it from the Grand Exchange.
Its defence bonuses are in between an iron kiteshield and a steel square shield. It is often favoured by magic and ranged builds as it has no attack bonus penalty as well as superior stats to the anti-dragon shield.

Trivia
- This shield may be a reference to a shield used to kill Medusa.
- Prior to a hidden update by Jagex, the shield had a reflective gray surface, before being changed to its current cyan colour.
- There is a glitch that when the shield is equipped, but no weapon, and the player uses the kick attack style, the shield will disappear in the kicking motion.
- During the Draynor Bank Robbery tape, 1337sp34kr , a non-player character, appears to be wielding a mirror shield.
- There is currently a glitch where instead of the "wield" option, it says "Activate."
