Detailed Medium XP lamp

A medium XP lamp is an uncommon prize rewarded from the Squeal of Fortune, which grants the player a definite amount of experience scaled to the selected skill level. In contrast, a medium XP lamp grants double the experience than of a small one. The experience gained is the same from level 98 to 120.

During the last Wild Weekend of May 2012, players could receive this item by killing 5 Zombie monkeys during an invasion. This could only be done once a day. This was the only way to obtain the item on free-to-play worlds, although it still could not be used in a free-to-play world.

If the player receives one of these lamps, it is highly recommended to utilise it on a skill that is either expensive, such as Prayer, or time-consuming, such as Slayer.

As of an update on 12 October 2012, skill-specific medium lamps in Construction, Crafting, Farming, Herblore, Smithing and Summoning have been replaced by crates containing training items for the skills.
