A Marble altar is a piece of furniture that can be built in the Chapel of a player-owned house with the Construction skill. It gives a 200% Prayer experience when bones or Demonic ashes are offered at it. With one mahogany burner lit, it gives 250% Prayer experience while two lit mahogany burners will give 300% experience.
Building a marble altar requires 70 Construction, 2 marble blocks and 2 bolts of cloth. Creating a marble altar gives the player 1,030 Construction experience.
A useful thing to do, should the player be training construction, is to skip building this altar and instead save up for the Gilded altar which can be built only 5 levels later. It would be a much more efficient way of training Prayer.
Trivia
- When offering demonic ashes at an altar, the altar's offering animation shows bones instead of ashes.
