Maple roots

Maple roots are an item that has two main uses. The first is to be added to a Compost Bin to make supercompost, like all tree roots, and the second is to be spun on a spinning wheel to make a crossbow string. Making supercompost may be preferable, since it can be sold for more than crossbow strings.

Members can only obtain maple roots from a maple tree they have grown themselves. For this, they need level 45 Farming and a maple seed. They must plant the seed in a plant pot filled with soil, water it from a watering can, and transfer the sapling to a tree patch. After the tree has grown, they must then chop it down with a hatchet (to obtain maple logs), and then use a spade on the stump to dig it up. They will then receive the roots.
