Junior Cadet Mal is an NPC added on 8 July 2009 with the activity Mobilising Armies. He stands near the entrance of the Mobilising Armies area, and players can talk to him to receive an explanation of the activity as well as a tutorial for it. The tutorial includes information about the different scenarios and the rewards that can be gained from the activity. The player can choose among them, and they are coloured green, yellow, and red based on whether they have been completed, started, or not started, respectively.
This NPC also collects items from the player, the prices of which are then turned into Mobilising Armies investment credits that can be used to buy special unit contracts. Various items are more efficient than others, depending on the ratio of the price of the item and the amount of credits received from it. The player can see which items he accepts by right-clicking him and selecting the "Commodities" option. Items that the player has, either in his/her inventory or in the bank, are highlighted.
