A Decorated fishing urn can be created at 76 Crafting on a Potter's wheel, and much like the other urns, it takes 2 Soft clay to do so. It must then be fired in a pottery oven before being finished off with a water rune before it can be used. It is used with the Fishing skill to help with gaining experience. The urn is filled when the player has earned 9,500 Fishing xp with the urn in inventory. Once the decorated fishing urn is full, it becomes a decorated fishing urn (full) and can be teleported to Ernie for 1,900 Fishing experience. When an urn is 50% full, the description given when you 'check level' states "This decorated fishing urn is half full, or is it half empty?".
If catching two fish at once with high Agility, the urn only fills with xp from the first catch. The second does not count. Similarly, bonus experience from items such as the Mad Necklace, Lamps, or Bonus Experience Weekend, do not count towards the urn's filling.
Decorated fishing urns give 20% more experience per caught fish. The following is a table of theoretical xp based on base xp per fish and 20% extra xp from urns included.
Note: You may only have 10 filled urns at a time. Once the maximum number of urns is filled, you must teleport at least one of them away before you may begin filling another. There is no advantage gained by stockpiling full urns.
