Corruption is an aura that was released in the Members Loyalty Programme on 6 December 2011. It gives players visible demonic wings on their backs, provides a 1% increase to Prayer experience and recovers 3% of prayer points for every 500 Prayer experience the player gains. This aura costs 5,000 Membership Loyalty Points.

The aura will remain active for 1 hour and has a recharge time of 3 hours from activation.

The appearance of the wings on either Corruption or Salvation depends on the tier that a player owns (i.e. a player with Corruption aura has wings that look different than one with Greater Corruption aura).

The wings on the higher tiers are bigger than the smaller tiers. (Tier 1 is smallest, Tier 2 is bigger, Tier 3 is bigger still, and Tier 4 is the biggest.) You require the original 'Corruption', 'Greater Corruption', and 'Master Corruption' auras before purchasing the aura Supreme corruption, which adds up to a total of 111,000 Loyalty Points.

Trivia

  • The corruption aura does not affect the experience gained from teleporting prayer urns or worshiping the ectofuntus. It is unknown if this is intended.
  • The wings will not appear while your character performs other animations, such as emotes, woodcutting or resting.
