A Berserker helm is a members' headgear with decent defence bonuses and a strength bonus of +3. To wear it, a player must have 45 Defence and have completed The Fremennik Trials.

With the second Summoning update, a player can have Pikkupstix in Taverley enchant the helm with 35 summoning, at which point it becomes a berserker helm (e) and can hold up to 70 scrolls. When charged it takes on a lighter colour and becomes a Berserker helm (charged). This gives the highest strength bonus for any helmet in the game, tied with Helm of neitiznot, Statius's full helm and Torva full helm.

Many players prefer the Helm of Neitiznot over the Berserker helm, because the Helm of Neitiznot has better Magic, Summoning, and Crush defences, a Prayer bonus and no negative attack bonuses, as well as costing slightly less than the Berserker helmet, and can be obtained free from completing The Fremennik Isles.

Berserker helmets are still of great popularity, as they represent a type of pure within the game. "Berserker pures" or "zerkers" are typically found wearing a berserker helmet. As the helmet requires 45 defence to wear, it gives "rune" pures a chance to have a stylish, sturdy helmet, without having to go out of their level boundaries. It is often seen as the trademark of this style of pure, hence why it is so popular.

You can buy Berserker helms from Skulgrimen in Skulgrimen's Battle Gear armour shop, found in Rellekka, for 78,000 coins after completing The Fremennik Trials. The shop also sells the other Fremennik helms such as the Archer Helm.
