The Axe head is a discontinued random event, in which the axe head flew off the handle while the player was Woodcutting . To fix it, the player had to collect it off the ground and reattach it to the handle. A similar thing used to happen to players while Mining, only with a pickaxe head and pickaxe handle. Note that it was usually cheaper to buy a new axe than the axe head. This can't happen anymore, as Jagex removed this random event and all axe heads were removed from the game.
Trivia
- Since these items were discontinued before the introduction of the dragon pickaxe, there was never such thing as a dragon 'pickaxe head'.
