The Armour stand is a piece of furniture that can be built in the Workshop of a player-owned house with the Construction skill. Building an armour stand requires at least 55 Construction, 8 Oak planks and 1 Limestone brick.
This piece of furniture is very useful to players because it has the ability to repair armours. The following items can be used on the stand to repair them for a cost based on the player's Smithing level:
It costs less to repair Barrows equipment and Ancient armour at an armour stand compared to paying Bob in Lumbridge. Stat boosts do not affect the price of repair. Use the following calculator to figure the costs.
When using the calculator, input a repair cost value between 1 and 5000000 coins without using commas.
template = Calculator:Template/Smithing/Armour stand form = repairForm result = repairResult param = cost|Normal Repair Cost|60000|int|1-5000000 param = level|Smithing Level (1-105)|1|int|1-105
The formula used to calculate the cost at a repair stand is:
A player with a Smithing level of 60, for instance, would pay 70% of normal cost:
Simply put, every 2 levels you have in smithing, is 1% cheaper to repair armour using this compared to any NPC vendor.
