This abyssal vine whip is a blue abyssal whip with a whip vine attached to it. It requires 85 Attack and 80 Slayer to wield. Players can get the whip painted by spending Honour Points from the Barbarian Assault activity. It is worth noting you first must split the whip vine from the abyssal vine whip before having it painted.

To get blue abyssal link paint, a player must have a whip in his or her inventory and 50 Honour Points in either attacker, defender, collector, or healer. Once the blue coloured whip is selected, the segments of the player's whip will turn blue. Once painted, the whip becomes untradeable and unlendable. Painting a whip will not modify any of its stats.

To remove the whip's paint and make it tradeable again, a cleaning cloth may be used on the painted whip. You must split the whip vine from the abyssal vine whip before using the cleaning cloth. Cleaning cloths may be made by using Karamja rum on a piece of silk or by buying a cleaning cloth from the Grand Exchange. They may also be bought from Tamayu in Tai Bwo Wannai village after the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest.

After an update on 29 March 2010, colouring the whip no longer requires 50 Honour Points each time. Once a colour is bought, it may be used as many times as desired on a whip or Dark bow.
