A Strong Woodcutting urn can be created at 61 Crafting and is used with the Woodcutting skill to help with gaining experience. When chopping a tree with a strong woodcutting urn (r) in your inventory accumulates experience, and the urn is filled when the player has earned 8,312.5 Woodcutting experience with the urn in inventory. Once the strong woodcutting urn is full, it becomes a strong woodcutting urn (full) and can be teleported to Ernie for 1,662.5 Woodcutting experience.

Chopping Ivy, splitting arctic pine logs or chopping straight/curly/mutated vines does not fill the urn.

Lumberjack clothing does not fill the urn faster. Neither does a clan ring with a woodcutting bonus.

With the auto-banking effect from the Evil Tree Distraction and Diversion, one can fill the urn without the need to bank. This makes filling the urn very fast and efficient, maximising experience gain. Similar to this is the ability of the Wood spirit to carry logs to your bank. The spirit will randomly appear when using a Juju woodcutting potion.

Trivia

  • When it is half full, the 'Check level' text is "This strong woodcutting urn is half full, or is it half empty?", a reference to the optimist or pessimist view of a half glass of water.
  • It would take 1569 strong woodcutting urns to get from 1 to 99 woodcutting filling them.
