Baron sharks can be obtained by cooking raw baron sharks with 80 Cooking, giving 210 cooking experience. When eaten, they heal 200 life points, the same as a regular shark, but will continue to heal 10 life points per second for 10 seconds. This makes the baron shark the second highest healing food outside of Daemonheim, with a total of 300 life points restored—right behind Juju gumbo (which heals 320 life points in total). Since they are untradeable, they cannot be noted or stored in familiars.
After an update a Shark's tooth necklace was released, when that necklace is worn when eating the shark it will continue healing for 5 seconds longer making it heal a total of 350 life points, if the second effect from the necklace also occurs (+20 life points when eating a shark) it could heal up to a total of 370, making it the best 1 bite food.
Catching one gives 110 fishing experience, the same as a normal shark.
The Assist System cannot be used to cook a baron shark if one has insufficient cooking level to prevent burning.
