Rock critters can be found throughout the Living Rock Caverns. They cannot be attacked nor do they attack. They resemble small bugs made of rock. One critter can be found sitting on a living rock patriarch's shoulder, which could mean they are either a sort of 'cleaning' animal for living rock beings, pets, or they are young living rock creatures.
