Astral rune shards are a quest item used in the Dream Mentor quest.
They are created by using a astral rune on an anvil. (Must have hammer)
The shards can then be ground down to dust in a pestle and mortar to create ground astral rune which is an ingredient for the shared dream potion needed in the quest.
