Black robe tops are dropped by dark wizards, troll shamans, shadow warriors, elite dark mages and ankous. They can be worn in place of wizard robe tops as they have the same stat bonuses, but cost much less. The rest of the set consists of a Black robe skirt and a wizard hat (or "hood"). Black robes can be used with other items of the same colour in the Shadow of the Storm quest. If you talk to evil bob while wearing this along with 2 other specific black equipment, he will compliment how you look 'quite evil'. You can dye the robes blue which would result in better profit if you are selling these. As limitations to how many you can buy from the Grand Exchange exist, this is not a very feasible money-making method. Conversely, you could also dye wizard robes black with Black mushroom ink as a member, but for a loss of profit.
