The fungal poncho is low-level magic armour that requires level 25 Magic and level 25 Defence to wear. It is made by adding 2,500 fungal flakes to a mycelium poncho web, requiring level 21 Crafting. Many prefer to simply buy a mystic robe top, since they do not degrade.
When you are in combat and this item is equipped the item will start to degrade and the name will change to fungal poncho (degraded) and when you check it, it will state the percentage of use remaining. It lasts about 15 hours of combat like the Barrows armour. Fungal armour can be repaired by using fungal flakes on the degraded armour. For a player with 55 crafting, 100 fungal flakes will repair 4.0% of the fungal poncho. The same amount of fungal flakes will repair 10.0% of the fungal leggings.
It can be obtained by buying a mycelium poncho web from the merchant in the Polypore Dungeon and it must be upgraded using fungal flakes as shown above. Fungal armour can be reverted back to its original form by selecting the "clean" option. However, players will only recover a portion of the original amount of fungal flakes used.
