Zamorak crafters are the crafters of ZMI and currently operate at the Ourania rune altar. They are suitable enemies to train magic on, but are guarded by more powerful Zamorakians.
Zamorak crafters are a very uncommon thing to kill though some people decide to kill them because of their fairly common rune drops and the pure essence.
Players with 92+ Prayer should find Zamorak crafters a useful way to heal a little at the altar, killing passing crafters with the Soul Split curse activated.

Trivia
- If a player attacks a Zamorak crafter who is standing on the square adjacent to the runecrafting altar, an unfixed bug will cause the player to continue to see and hear the runecrafting animation throughout the entire battle, between the Zamorak crafter's punches.
- They seem to be wearing a red version of Vyrewatch clothing with red chaps, a Rogue mask or a Fishbowl helmet with no glass outside.
- If a player attacks a Zamorak crafter with a Ring of Recoil, a message will appear in the chat window stating that "Your ring of recoil is useless against this creature."
