Betrayal at Falador article This article or section contains information about a character, creature, event or location which is only featured in the RuneScape novel Betrayal at Falador. The Betrayal at Falador novel is generally considered canon.

The Wilderness Mercenaries were an organised mercenary military force enlisted by the Kinshra Lord Sulla in the Year 164 of the Fifth Age. The force consisted of some 10,000 soldiers, most of which were hired armsmen from various groups within the Wilderness, such as the Wilderness Berserkers.

The Wilderness Mercenaries were quickly recruited by Sulla in order to bolster his numbers during the Siege of Falador and any later conflicts. The force effectively allowed Sulla's forces to outnumber the Asgarnian and Dwarven Realm resistance, although they were not as loyal or properly trained as his Kinshra knights. The mercenaries often ignored orders once within Falador simply to loot and create chaos. Nonetheless, they proved effective in the early stages of the battle.

The mercenaries were almost completely eliminated during the Siege of Falador, and after Sulla's defeat and overthrow the few remaining soldiers were disbanded.

They are not mentioned in the game at all - only in Betrayal at Falador.
