The Seahound is the ship of Shanty Claws, a werewolf sailor that has sailed the seas since forsaking the violent ways of his people. It was mentioned in Postbag from the Hedges 17 and 37,<ref name="postbag17">Jagex. Postbag 17 - "Happy Birthday, Mr Elemental.", Letter 7. Postbags from the Hedge. *</ref><ref name="postbag37">Jagex. Postbag 37 - "Are you sitting funkily? Then we'll begin.", Letter 1. Postbags from the Hedge. *</ref> but did not appear in-game even during the 2006 Christmas Event, in which Shanty Claws was featured prominently.
The Seahound is currently at sea, being used by Shanty Claws to explore a number of undiscovered islands south-west of mainland Gielinor. He describes one of these as being full of "Funny, fiery folk."
