Sunspear

The Sunspear is a Blisterwood dagger, famed throughout Meiryditch for its powers against vampyres. It is initially located by Vanstrom Klause and Kendrick, but after it is used to kill a vyrewatch and a ghetto is sacked in response, it is hidden away in northern Meiryditch, the location known only to Vanstrom and Kendrick. It is retrieved by a party of eight people, made up of Vanstrom, Kendrick, Gar'rth, Ben Strainge, Tam and three others. During its retrieval, Tam and the three others are killed bloodveld, Ben is wounded, and the four survivors captured by Vanescula Drakan and taken to Tenebra. When Gar'rth attempts to use it on his father, he fails, and Ben and Kendrick are killed. Gar'rth is subsequently imprisoned for his assassination attempt.

When Gar'rth is reunited with his father, Tenebra uses the dagger on Vanescula. During the battle at the River Salve, Gar'rth manages to stab Tenebra when he is weak, and Kara-Meir finishes him off by stabbing Sunspear into the base of his skull.
