Splitbark gauntlets are a piece of splitbark armour worn in the hand slot. You are required to have 40 Magic and 40 Defence to wear splitbark gauntlets. Splitbark gauntlets can be created by giving a bark, a fine cloth, and 1000 coins to the armoured wizard at the Wizards' Tower, or they can be obtained by looting magpie implings found in Puro-Puro or around RuneScape. The armour set is good for mages who are practicing magic on NPCs that use a melee based attack.
